Penny Stocks Lab is proud to announce their inaugural undergraduate scholarship contest. This year they will provide a $1,000 cash prize to the winner. Interested students are asked to respond to the essay topic below in a thoughtful, well-crafted short essay of 1,000 words or less. Penny Stocks Lab encourages any student with an interest in finance or investing to enter for a chance to support their education with a $1,000 scholarship.
To apply, students are asked to discuss the term Financial Literacy which is commonly used to describe an individual’s knowledge and understanding of financial matters. Due to the complex nature of the economy, the implications of possessing ‘financial literacy’ have become increasingly relevant. With the overly broad definition of the term in mind, discuss, in 1,000 words or less, what financial literacy means to you and how you foresee it impacting your post-graduate life.
Essays may be submitted beginning September 1. All submissions are due no later than December 31. The winner will be notified in early January.
