Tuition & Financial Aid
Tuition
The estimated cost of attendance for the full 16 months of the Coexistence and Conflict Program in 2009-2010 is approximately $36,226 plus a post residence fee of $1129. Students should expect to spend an additional $15,000 on living expenses, educational materials, transportation and health insurance. Students who take longer than 16 months to complete the program may be subject to additional post-resident fees.
As a point of reference, please see the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences' estimated cost of attendance for 2009-10.
Financial Aid
Brandeis offers a limited number of need-based, partial-tuition scholarships to students in the Coexistence and Conflict Master's Program. Scholarships provide tuition remission; they do not include travel and other expenses.
Due to the volume of applications for financial aid, we cannot fully fund students to join the master's program. Students are encouraged to apply for financial aid as early as possible, as it increases the chance of receiving it. Students who apply late or do not receive enough financial aid may defer their admission for up to two years. Those who defer admission must reapply for financial aid for the year they intend to join the program.
If you wish to apply for Brandeis financial aid, please complete the following forms:
- International Students (PDF) or (DOC)
- Domestic Students
Funding Sources
It is strongly recommended that students in need of financial support also pursue a number of other funding options in addition to Brandeis financial aid. There are many funding sources available to international and American students for graduate study.
Applying for financial assistance from these sources can be a time-consuming process. Students should start this process as early as possible and access multiple sources simultaneously to increase their chances of success. Students who do can not cover their full tuition costs may defer their admission for up to two years, but they must reapply for Brandeis financial aid at that time. Please see below for a list of other funding sources.
