The Arts of Building Peace (COEX 250)
How can music, theater, poetry, literature, and visual arts contribute to community development, coexistence, and nonviolent social change? In the aftermath of violence, how can artists help communities reconcile? In the spring of 2009, undergraduate and graduate students in the course will prepare materials for a website on performance and peacebuilding. Offered Tuesday afternoons. On-Campus Internship in the Community, Arts and Social Transformation (PAX 92)
The internship course provides opportunities for hands-on learning in planning events, developing audiences, documenting and assessing programs and creating internet resources.
