The Protestant community at Brandeis is guided by Protestant Chaplain Reverend Matt Carriker. Protestant activities and worship services at Brandeis are open to students of any Protestant denomination as well as students looking to observe a Protestant service. Rev. Cariker, often colloquially referred to as “Minister Matt” by students, leads Protestant services as well as serves as a religious advisor to Protestant student clubs. Protestant worship takes place in Harlan Chapel. Every other Wednesday at 7 p.m., Rev. Carriker leads a “Soul Feasts” worship service where students gather in Harlan Chapel for ecumenical dialogue and practice of faith.
Several protestant clubs meet in Christian Lounge, located on the second floor of Usdan Student Center over the Chaplaincy Office. These groups include the Asian Baptist Student Koinonia (ABSK) and Cru Christian Fellowship. ABSK holds weekly bible-reading sessions usually on Friday nights in the Christian Lounge, while Cru meets frequently to worship on and off campus.
