What is your favorite part of working for the Campus Center Team? I love getting to work at the heart of campus life. The SCC is where students from every club imaginable get together. Even though I sit at a desk in the SCC atrium, it is the farthest thing from a desk job. Each time I go to work, there is a different activity happening in the atrium. It is never boring! It always amazes me how much work Brandeis students put into increasing awareness about their passions.
How has working for the Campus Center Team impacted your time at Brandeis? I feel completely at home when I'm around my Campus Center Team co-workers. We just had a Thanksgiving potluck dinner together! I have been introduced to people who have been on campus much longer than I and have every type of advice to offer. They have truly shaped how I see Brandeis. I hope to follow in their steps and be there for underclassmen when I am more seasoned. Paying it forward with future co-workers and friends is something I am excited to do!
Do you have a favorite memory of your time with Student Activities or at Brandeis? Playing midnight flashlight tag with the CCT was definitely a highlight. We turned off all the lights in the SCC and ran around scaring each other. People who weren't on the team joined in too. It was a very "Brandeis" experience.
About the Game Room
Located near the dining hall in Usdan, the Game Room was created in the summer of 2004 due to a rollover from the Student Union. During the summer of 2008, the Game Room saw heavy renovations in association with the creation of the convenience store in the dining hall. The renovations brought forth the opportunity to expand and update the equipment.
Day-to-day activities of the Game Room are managed by the Student Service Bureau during the day and the Campus Center Team at night. The Operations Specialist within the Department of Student Activities, Darryl David, oversees the the Game Room and can be contacted if you have any questions.
