Meet the Staff

Stephanie Grimes
Director of Student Activities

Stephanie Grimes has been director of student activities since July of 2004, but she is no stranger to Brandeis. Before becoming the director, she held positions including associate director of student activities, activities adviser and quad director. Her complete Brandeis experience includes 10 years of service. Before joining Brandeis, she worked as the assistant director of student involvement at Chowan College in Murfreesboro, N.C. She holds a master's degree in college student development and counseling from Northeastern University and a bachelor’s degree in business management from Bryant College (now Bryant University). She manages the day-to-day operations of the department including but not limited to staff supervision, budget management, marketing and promotion and vision for the department. She advises the Fall Fest (Family Weekend) program alongside the associate director. When not in her home in the Shapiro Campus Center, she is home with her husband and her son.

Nicole Chabot- Wieferich
Associate Director

Nicole Chabot joined the Brandeis community in 2008 as associate director of student activities. Before coming to Brandeis, she served as assistant director of student activities at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn. She holds a master of education degree in higher education and student affairs administration from the University of Vermont and a bachelor of arts degree insociology from Bucknell University. Nicole is excited to work closely with students and student organizations to assist in their leadership-skill development and event planning. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her partner and her family; cooking and baking; playing games; and spending time outdoors.

Michelle Ercoline
Department Coordinator

Michelle Ercoline arrived to Brandeis in August 2004 as the department coordinator. She graduated from SUNY Institute of Technology of Utica/Rome in 2003 with a bachelor of science degree in business management. During Michelle’s time at SUNYIT, she was involved with the Campus Activities Board and URSA, the student government association. At Brandeis, Michelle enjoys advising the Junior-Senior Formal as well as keeping the department organized and upbeat. Michelle lives in Boston with her husband, Mathew. Originally from New York, Michelle enjoys going to the lake to water ski, swim and spend time with her family.

Sarah Richardson
Operations Specialist

Sarah joined Brandeis in 2008 as one of the new student activities advisers. She holds a master's degree in student affairs from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). In addition, she has a bachelor’s degree in adolescent math and special education from Keuka College in New York. During her time at Keuka and IUP, Sarah worked in a variety of activities-related positions, most recently in the student affairs and athletic departments at Pennsylvania State University. She is excited to be at Brandeis helping clubs, organizations and the Student Activities office to develop successful programs.
