Campus Center Team
The Campus Center Team seeks to support the Brandeis community through direct and indirect customer-centered services to the campus community. Employment with the Campus Center Team will help develop students as active, responsible, dependable citizens who are caring, exercise sound judgment and are commited to helping society.
The Campus Center Team functions as the operating staff of the Shapiro Campus Center and parts of the Usdan Student Center. The students are easily recognized by their bright red uniforms and huge smiles. Along with providing customer service and information to thousands of visitors a year, the team also helps to support logistical and technical aspects of events in the Shapiro Campus Center.
Campus Center Team Job Descriptions
Information/Set-Up Worker
Serve as primary point of contact for customers in the Shapiro Campus Center and Usdan Student Center and be responsible for all aspects of customer service throughout the facilities. The primary assignments are in the Usdan Game Room and the Shapiro Campus Center. The position requires use of a cash register, the ability to lift 30 pounds and other duties as assigned.
Reset Crew
The Reset Crew is primarily responsible for making three daily walkthroughs in the Shapiro Campus Center, adjusting and readjusting furniture and other items to a professional, clean and default status. The Reset Crew will also help set up rooms for special events and attend weekly set-up scheduling meetings and team meetings as assigned.
Supervisor
Supervisors are responsible for managing the Shapiro Campus Center and Usdan Student Center during the evening hours and weekends when full-time professional staff members are not present. These six individuals will serve as meeting facilitators, problem solvers, interpreters of policies, student staff supervisors, security monitors and resource persons. Supervisors delegate tasks to a wide range of staff in the Shapiro Campus Center and Usdan Student Center and, therefore, must have a working knowledge of all the duties performed by the Information/Set-Up workers and Reset Crew members.
