Accommodations and Dining

The Department of Student Activities assists you in planning your visit by working with two nearby hotels — the Doubletree Guest Suites in Waltham and the Newton Marriottt in Newton — to set up block booking.

If you are bringing your family to the weekend, we recommend the Doubletree Guest Suites. Their two-room suites make a perfect environment for siblings or even the ability to host your college student for a night!

If you are looking for the best hotel for Shabbat observant families, the Newton Marriott is the option for you.  It is about a mile and a half walk from campus (which is the closest hotel). Within the Fall Fest program, we do offer guided walks from campus back to the hotel on Friday night.

Dining

Meals for the weekend include a continental breakfast on Saturday morning and a Brunch on Sunday morning in the Usdan Café and Boulevard. Families will need to make arrangements for other meals throughout the weekend.

To sign up and pay for any additional Shabbat meals (including Saturday lunch, Saturday third meal (“seuda shleeshit”), arrangements, including payment, must be made directly through the Sherman Dining Hall.  Please have your student make arrangements with the cashier at the Sherman Dining Hall.

For detailed information about our dining facilities, please visit the Dining Services Web site.
