Meet the Fall Fest 2014 Core Committee!!!
The Fall Fest Core Committee 2014 has been working non-stop to create one of Brandeis' most exciting events. So while you are preparing yourselves for this fun-filled weekend, meet this year's amazing team:
Tyler Friedman '16
Campus Marketing Coordinator
Lianne Gross '16
My name is Lianne Gross, and I am the Volunteer Coordinator. I am a sophomore and double majoring in History and Near Eastern and Judaic Studies and minoring in Secondary Education. I love to Israeli Folk Dance, and I am the Artistic Director of the Israeli Folk Dance troupe on campus. I also work in the theater with the Undergraduate Theater Collective. I am so excited about this year’s theme: Monopoly. I used the play the game all the time with my family, friends, and anyone who would play with me. Sometimes, I would just play by myself (and I would always win). For school projects, I would make intricate Monopoly-style games and make everyone play them. My favorite piece was always the thimble, because I liked the way it felt in my hand…it wasn’t too sharp (like the racecar) and it wasn’t awkward to move (like the top hat). After two years of being a Fall Fest volunteer, I am so excited to be on the Core Committee!
Jake Hurwitz '16
Academic Programs Coordinator
Hi! Im Jake Hurwitz, and I'm the Academic Programs Coordinator for Fall Fest 2014! I'm a sophomore majoring in Economics, and when I'm not studying or planning Fall Fest, you can usually find me playing piano for musicals, planning Louis Louis and Bronstein Week with Student Events, volunteering in the Admissions Office, or playing percussion with Top Score. On the rare occasion when I have free time, I like to play piano and binge watch shows on Netflix. As an Economics major, my favorite monopoly piece is the bag of money. I'm looking forward to seeing you all in October for Fall Fest 2014!
Lily Li '15
Off-Campus Programming Coordinator
Hi, Brandeis! My name is Lily Li and I will be your Off-Campus Programming Coordinator for Fall Fest 2014. I plan to host off campus events that will surely make y'all want to jump out of your seats and scream in excitement! At Brandeis, I am currently a junior and majoring in Biology. However, I made two academic pathways and will not know which one I'll choose until my senior year. This year's Fall Fest theme is Monopoly. Although I never played the original version of Monopoly (because I only own the Pokémon version), my favorite game piece is the battleship! When I was little, I used to build battleship models with my dad and brother, so this game piece always gave me nostalgia. Plus, in my opinion the battleship is the coolest looking piece! Whichever your favorite game piece may be, come roll the 'Deis to take advantage of Free Parking and pass GO during this family weekend!
Sandra Luo '15
On-Campus Programming Coordinator
Hi there, I'm Sandra Luo and I'm super excited to serve as the On-Campus Programming Coordinator for Fall Fest for the second year in a row. I love being involved on campus, which frequently ends up with me running back and forth across campus. But I wouldn't trade it for the word. Brandeis is one of my favorite places to be and I can't wait to share it with everyone during Fall Fest weekend. I'm graduating in 2015 and it's still hard to believe that my time at Brandeis is coming to an end. However, I'm not leaving without putting on an amazing Fall Fest 2014 for everyone! Fun Fact: My favorite Monopoly piece is the Scottish Terrier!
Cindy Luu '16
Communication and Outreach Coordinator
Hi! My name is Cindy Luu and I am so excited to be the Communication and Outreach Coordinator for Fall Fest 2014. I am a sophomore double majoring in Neuroscience and Biology and minoring in Anthropolgy and Chemistry. (What is too many majors and minors anyways?) Besides living in my textbooks, I love exploring Boston and being outdoors. Although I am a proud Boston native, there are always so many new places and events happening in Boston that I can't get enough. You can also find me running experiments on undergraduates at the Brandeis' Aging, Culture, and Cognition Lab, producing short films for the Jubilee Project Brandeis Chapter, or working on new Fall Fest material! This year's theme is Monopoly and my favorite starting piece is the racecar because racecar spelled backwards is racecar. Lame joke, I know but I can't wait to meet all of you for Fall Fest 2014!
