Q. Do I need to pay to attend Fall Fest Weekend?

A. Families do not have to pay to attend most of the weekend's events.  Some events such as Shabbat Dinner, the off campus events on Friday and Saturday have ticket fees, and the theater performances have additional ticket fees.

Q. Is it required to register for the weekend?

A. We would love to know that you are coming.  Please complete the online registration form so that we can prepare a nametag and materials for you.

Q. Do I have to register to participate in off-campus programs?

A. Yes, you must purchase tickets through Brandeis Ticket to participate in off campus programs.  The Night at the Museum of Science costs $37.00/person plus service fees and Quest Through Concord costs $35.00/person plus service fees.

Q. I want to attend the Shabbat Dinner, how should I purchase tickets?

A. Visit Brandeis Tickets to purchase your ticket to the Shabbat Dinner.  Each member of your family will need a ticket (children under 12 are free).  Tickets are $30.00/person plus service fees.  Students can pay for the Shabbat dinner using his or her meal plan. Remind your student to make arrangements with the cashier in Sherman Dining Hall by October 11.

Q. Can I register later?

A. Yes, you can register on site at the Registration Table in the Shapiro Campus Center when you arrive for Fall Fest. However, if you plan on participating in any off-campus programs, we recommend you purchase tickets early because most programs sell out before Fall Fest weekend.

Q. Are there overnight accommodations on campus?

A. Unfortunately, we do not have on-campus housing facilities available for families during the weekend. Click here for options in the Waltham area. 

Q. What is the closest hotel to campus?

A. Newton Marriott is the closest hotel option. It is approximately a mile and a half walk from campus. Within the Fall Fest program, we do offer guided walks from campus back to the hotel on Friday night. 

Q. Where can we eat in the Waltham Area?

A. Waltham has many nice restaurants. Most are located along Main Street and Moody Street downtown. A partial listing is available here.
 
Q. Does Brandeis provide transportation to and from campus?

A. No, however there are many options listed below for you and your family.

Q. When does everything start and end?

A.  Fall Fest Weekend begins on Thursday, October 11 and runs though Monday, October 15. A majority of the events take place on Friday and Saturday.
