Student Profile

Sydney

Name: Sydney Schweber
Major: Computer Science
Hometown: Toronto
Year: 2015

Involvement on campus: Senior Week Co-coordinator, Midyear OL, and Hiatt Advisor

What is your favorite part of your role? My favourite part about planning and working Senior Week are the seniors who truly appreciate all the we do for them, and thank us for giving them an amazing time. That makes all the negative comments and hard work worth it.

How has this involvement impacted your time at Brandeis? I've gotten to meet a lot of people within Student Activities, and I've had to learn how to think quickly on my feet. This experience really helped me grow as a person in that I learned so much about managing a team of people and finding a way to keep them all happy as well as keeping the people we are serving happy. I now have a much deeper respect for people who put on events at school, and for people working in Student Activities.

Do you have a favorite memory of your time with Student Activities or at Brandeis? I have so many great memories both with my friends at Brandeis and with Student Activities that it is impossible to choose one as my favorite. As long as I'm surrounded by happy people who are enjoying themselves, I'm happy as well.
