The Rev. Walter Cuenin

The Rev. Walter Cuenin is the Catholic chaplain and coordinator of the Multifaith Chaplaincy at Brandeis. Cuenin received a bachelor of arts degree from Saint John's Seminary in Boston in 1967. He then studied at the Gregorian University in Rome, where he earned a bachelor's degree in sacred theology in 1969.

Cuenin was ordained a priest at St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City and obtained his license in sacred theology in 1970. He received a doctorate in sacred theology from the Gregorian University in 1977.

Cuenin has served in many parishes of the Archdiocese of Boston and taught theology at the Weston Jesuit School of Theology in Cambridge, Mass. He has a sister and two brothers, who live in the South.
