Project Description: We are an after school program that brings kids from Waltham public housing developments to Brandeis for educational and recreational activities.   Each week we have a theme.   Any Clubs that can plan activities for kids K-5 would be welcome!

Project Description: T.I.P.S. or Tutoring in Public Schools brings Brandeis students to volunteer in local public elementary schools for one hour a week sessions during the school day.   There are occasional one-time opportunities, please e-mail us to discuss further.

Project Description: We work with elderly residents in the Waltham community and visit weekly.  We are looking for volunteers to assist with major events such as parties at the extended living center and are looking for performance clubs to entertain

Project Description: A variety of volunteer opportunities exist such as serving meals at the soup kitchen at Bristol Lodge, preparing and serving meals at the Waltham Community Day Center, or assisting with construction/painting projects at the Waltham Community Day Center.
Time frame/duration: Weekdays 1:30-4:30 or 4:30-5:30 and weekends in the late afternoon

Project Description:Brandeis Buddies works with developmentally disabled adults at Greater Waltham ARC through a variety of on-campus and off-campus activities.  We welcome performance groups or other groups with special talents to entertain program participants for an afternoon.

Group Name: Language & Cultural Enrichment (LaCE)

Project Description: LaCE works with local middle school students who have recently immigrated to the United States and are in their schools' ESL/ELL program.  We do a group activity for the first hour of our program, which aims to be both fun and educational, and should have a language component. Examples of past activities are: scavenger hunt, Mad Libs, working with AHORA to do a cooking demonstration, working with Mochila to do a music program, etc.  Must be able to lead interactive program for 25 middle school students and 25 college students
Time frame/duration: Thursdays, 3-4 P.M.
