Community Voices

"I have learned that the Waltham Group as a whole is stronger then the sum of its parts." ~ Sarah McLaughlin, Educational Program Consultant

"The reason I want to dedicate my life to not only the Waltham Group but service in general is because I was told that you have not found yourself until you lose yourself in the service of others. I am constantly evolving, growing, and deepening my own spirit by doing work that is not of myself, and the rewards have been infinite!" ~ Bronte Velez '16

"My favorite Waltham Group moment this semester: Having our kids get really excited to come back next semester!" ~ Jacqueline Rothschild '10

Waltham Group Programs

The primary student service outreach is through the Waltham Group, the student-led community service organization. The Waltham Group was founded in 1966, in response to student activism and in recognition of the university’s responsibility to be engaged citizens of the community. Hundreds of students volunteer each year through the Waltham Group, which serves as a center for service and advocacy.
