Still looking for housing? Check out Craigslist or the Brandeis Classifieds. Contact your department and ask for lists of current students or other new students who may be looking for roommates and places to live. Put your own ad on the Brandeis Classifieds. Most apartments are available either at mid-month or the first of the month, so plan to come a few days early and complete your search.
If you are looking for inexpensive interim housing, visit Hostels.com. The hostels are located in the greater Boston area: all have kitchens, many have lounges & TVs, and some have activities planned. Prices range from $25-45 per night.
Welcome Graduate Students
Brandeis has extremely limited space for housing graduate students on-campus, and space is limited to one year. We do have many resources available for helping students find off-campus housing, either close-by within the Waltham area, or easily accessible by public transportation within the broader Boston Metro community.
To sign-up for on-campus housing, please contact Graduate Student Affairs. Space is limited and is generally available only to students with need and international students. More than 96 percent of the graduate population lives off-campus in Waltham or in the surrounding communities. Information regarding off-campus housing can be found in the off-campus housing section of our Web site.
