Application Information

Complete the JBS Summer Housing Application to sign up for housing.  Students who wish to stay in on-campus housing between the end of the semester and the beginning of the summer must sign up for Transitional Housing.

JBS Housing

Students enrolled in the 10 week summer JBS programs are eligible for on-campus housing.  Students enrolled in JBS programs will be housed in Ziv.  Housing costs a flat rate of $2,260 for the summer.  Housing for all JBS students begins on Sunday, May 27 and ends on Friday, August 3.  A meal plan will be required for all students enrolled in JBS housing.

Eligibility Requirements

Students must meet the following requirements in order to receive on-campus housing as a student employee.

  1. Enrolled in an on-campus or Boston area JBS program.  Students do not have to be enrolled prior to requesting housing, but must be enrolled prior to moving into housing.
  2. Students who withdraw from the JBS program during the summer will have 48 hours to vacate their housing assignment.

Summer Housing Rates

Housing rates for the JBS program are flat rates depending on the type of room.  All JBS summer programs being offered are 10 week programs.

Single room - $2,260

All students in JBS housing are required to have a meal plan. Students can enroll in either the 21 meals per week or the 14 meals per week plans.

21 Meals - $2,175.00

14 Meals - $1,680.00

Summer Housing Process

Obtaining summer housing is a fairly simple process. Below are the steps that students, faculty, and staff must take in order for students to receive summer housing.

Step 1: Apply

Complete the JBS Summer Housing Application.  Forms must be submitted by April 20 for priority housing.  Applications received after April 20 will be housed in the order they are received.

Step 2: Transitional Housing, Part I

If you wish to live on-campus between the end of final exams and the beginning of the summer, you must complete the Transitional Housing Request form. Transitional Housing costs a flat rate of $300. Your student account will be billed directly for transitional housing. See the Transitional Housing section of the website more information.

Step 3: Move-In

Students will be notified of their summer residence by May 7. Keys for summer housing will be available for pick up by May 27 from the Department of Community Living in Usdan.  You will be notified if keys are available earlier than May 27.

Step 4: Transitional Housing, Part II

Students who wish to stay on-campus for the period between the end of summer school and beginning of the fall semester may request summer to fall transitional housing. Summer to fall transitional housing is only available for students enrolled in summer session 2. If you did not request summer to fall transitional housing originally, a new Transitional Housing Request must be completed. The cost of transitional housing for this period is $400. Step 4: Transitional Housing, Part II

Students who wish to stay on-campus for the period between the end of summer housing and beginning of the fall semester may request summer to fall transitional housing. Summer to fall transitional housing is only available for students living on-campus for both the summer and the fall. If you did not request summer to fall transitional housing originally, a new Transitional Housing Request must be completed. The cost of transitional housing for this period is $400.
