The goal of Club Connections is to provide opportunities for club leaders to come together in a variety of different capacities throughout the school year.
Club Connections consists primarily of the Club Connections Conference, the Activities Fair, and the Winter Involvement Fair. Every year Student Activities hosts the Club Connections Conference designed to bring club leaders together to kick off each semester. The goal is to provide club leaders with the necessary information and tools in order to plan successful programs and events at Brandeis and to manage club operations efficiently and effectively. The Activities Fair and Winter Involvement Fair, held at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters, offer great opportunities to recruit new members and spread the word about your club.
Sunday, August 30, 2015
Shapiro Campus Center Great Lawn, 1 p.m. –3 p.m. (Rain: Levin Ballroom)
There are many opportunities to be involved at Brandeis! Check out some of the student organizations that can help you find your home!
Club Leaders - Please work with your other club leaders to make sure each organization is only registered once. Spaces are limited so register early to avoid ending up on the wait list. If you have questions email Leigh Hilderbrandt (email@example.com), Marketing and Box Office Manager or Robert Steinberg (firstname.lastname@example.org), Student Activities Specialist.
Activities Fair Performances - Is your club interested in performing at the Activities Fair? Are you interested in performing at the Fall Activities Fair? Please take a moment to sign up now! Then stay tuned for information about your time slot.
Performances should be no more than ten minutes. Time slots will be assigned at random. Please make sure that your entire performance group is available from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, August 30. In the event of rain, the Activities Fair will move to Levin Ballroom and performances will be canceled due to lack of space (the stage will be used to accommodate club tables). Please note: You will have minimal access to technical equipment. Wired microphones and speakers will be provided. Please bring your music on an iPod or other mp3 device.
Registration for table space and performance opportunities will open August 3. It is imperative that at least two current members from your club (we recommend the President and Treasurer, but this can be unlimited) are subscribed to the Club Leaders listserv to receive information about the Activities Fair, as well as emails regarding Allocation Board submission information, Treasury deadlines, and other club news. If you are not already part of the Club Leaders listserv, go to https://lists.brandeis.edu/wws, log in with your Brandeis Unet and click on the bottom left where it says “subscribe”.
Join the Department of Student Activities, the Intercultural Center, Student Union, Conference and Events, and Hillel to learn everything you need to know about event planning at Brandeis. Make sure your club is represented at this annual event. If you have questions, email Robert Steinberg (email@example.com), Student Activities Specialist. All clubs should be represented at this conference so please make sure you have at least one representative in attendance. If you have multiple members that want to attend, we welcome them.
