From Bingo and Trivia to going to the beach or apple picking, the fall semester brings a wide variety of programs and events, sponsored by the Department of Student Activities.

Activities Fair

Monday, August 31
Club Conference
TBD, Hassenfeld Conference Center
Join the Department of Student Activities, Conference and Events, the Intercultural Center, Hillel, and the Student Union as we kick off the fall semester. This conference is your one stop program planning shop. Learn how to organize an event and get funding for your programs.

Thursday, September 3

Start the year off right by winning great prizes! Bring your friends or make some new ones! We want to add some fun and games to your lives with prizes including Spikeball, KanJam, Cards Against Humanity, and more!

Screen on the Green: Jurassic World
8 p.m., Shapiro Campus Center, Great Lawn
A new theme park is built on the original site of Jurassic Park. Everything is going well until the park's newest attraction--a genetically modified giant stealth killing machine--escapes containment and goes on a killing spree. Sponsored by Student Events.

Brandeis Goes to the Beach
11 a.m.-5 p.m., Board buses at T-Lot
Get away from campus for some fun in the sun and sand at one of our favorite beaches! We will provide transportation for you and your friends to go relax on the beach, play in the sand and surf, and enjoy the summer sun. Space is limited, so get your ticket soon! $5 refundable deposit required at Brandeis Tickets.

Celebrating Para-deis!
9 p.m.-Midnight, Shapiro Campus Center Great Lawn
Brandeis on the beach! Celebrate the end of summer at our own little piece of paradise, featuring cornhole, ladder ball, a tiki hut, mocktails, adirondack chairs and the music of reggae.

Sunday, September 6
Food Truck Festival
9 p.m., Levin Ballroom, Usdan
Kick-off the beginning of the semester with a Food Truck Festival, featuring a variety of cuisine (including kosher, vegetarian, and vegan options) and a multitude of lawn games. This will be the tastiest way to wring in the new (school) year!

24 Hour Musical
8 p.m., Shapiro Campus Center Theater
Come see fellow students put on a musical in just 24 hours! This once per year production is a show you won’t want to miss. Sponsored by Hillel Theater Group and Tympanium Euphorium.

18 Hole Mini Golf
1 p.m.–5 p.m., Campuswide
Play 18 holes of mini golf across campus! Start wherever you want, but end on the 18th hole to hangout with friends, new and old.

Featuring live music, celebrity appearances and free swag from more than 100 local and national sponsors, CollegeFest attracts thousands of college students each year, making it the most heavily attended back-to-school event in New England! Best of all, CollegeFest is free! You can also pre-register for special perks and VIP access. Take the MBTA Green Line  from Riverside Station to Fenway Station or provide your own transportation. Sponsored by CollegeFest@Fenway.

Get off campus for an afternoon to shop and dine at the Natick Mall! Bus boards at T-Lot at 1 p.m.; leave mall at 4:30 p.m. $5 refundable deposit required at Brandeis Tickets in the SCC atrium.

Constitution Day

Celebrate the signing of the US Constitution in 1787 by picking up your free pocket copy of the Constitution and celebrating your rights.

Apple Picking at Honey Pot Hill

Pick the crispest apples you can find before heading home to bake some pies for your roommates! Price of apples is not included in trip. Cash & check only at pick-your-own and much of the orchard, ATM in the farm store. Visit the appleshop, hedgemaze, tunnelmaze and farm animals. The holidays are a special time for the Brandeis community. From the Messiah Sing to the Latke/Hamentashen Debate to the ICC’s Holidaze program, we have events for everyone to celebrate the season. Details will be posted in November!
