There’s not just one way to be a CA…

Introduction

The Department of Residence Life is currently seeking candidates for 2008-2009 Community Advisor (CA) appointments, beginning their CA role in August, 2008.  We are excited that you are considering embarking on this journey with us, choosing to dedicate much of your time and energy to fostering community within the residence halls.  CAs play a pivotal role in creating welcoming communities for our residents, communities that are safe, inviting, and supportive of student learning.

Picture of Massell Quad StaffThe CA Recruitment theme this year is: “There’s not just one way to be a CA,” which mirrors the diversity of our current student staff in backgrounds, experiences, and approach to community development.  While our CAs share a core set of commitments to the mission of Residence Life and the Division of Student Affairs core values, each CA is able to infuse her/his own personality into the position.

Residence Life is seeking candidates who are flexible, creative, and enthusiastic about the Brandeis residential community. The CA position requires well-developed interpersonal skills, a genuine interest in working with a wide variety of people, and an ability to perform in an organized and responsible manner under conditions that may be stressful.
