Athletic Facilities
The Gosman Sports and Convocation Center offers state-of-the-art equipment and facilities for recreational use. Athletic facilities available to summer students include the indoor pool, squash courts, steam room, sauna and weight rooms. Students should be aware that there are times during the summer when guest groups have exclusive use of the athletic facilities or annual maintenance may cause temporary disruption to the regular facility schedule. The Athletics and Recreation Office can provide information on facility schedules during business hours. Students must present their ID cards whenever using athletic facilities.

E-mail
Email accounts for current Brandeis students are still active during the summer, regardless of whether you are taking summer class.

When visiting summer students begin the registration process they are emailed a SAGE User ID and Password. This allows students to access the Brandeis SAGE System to
view courses and class schedules; enroll in classes; find your classroom location; change your address or other personal information; review your student account; make payments for your classes; view your final grades; and request official transcripts.

As you can see, SAGE is a vital tool so do not lose your SAGE User ID and Password.

If a visiting summer student desires a "@brandeis.edu" email account, you must sign up for a Brandeis UNet account. While visiting summer students are given a "@brandeis.edu" email account , please note that this account will be deleted after the summer term has ended and any saved emails will be lost. Therefore it is advisable for visiting summer students use a personal email account as their primary email. There are many free e-mail services available via the World Wide Web.

Health Services
Non-emergency physician or nursing services are available in the Golding Outpatient Facility during the Summer School session. Students who require such services will be assessed a one-time Summer Health Services charge of $100 upon their initial visit. The costs of off-campus medical consultations, dental care, medications, laboratory tests, drugs, X-rays, reusable supplies or hospital admissions are not included and students will be responsible for these charges. The hours of the University Health Services are Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Insurance coverage is available for Summer School students for an additional fee. Please contact the Summer School Office at 781-736-3424 for more information.

Parking
Daytime parking on-campus is by permit only. No permit is required after 5:00 pm.

If you are a new student or do not already have a parking permit you may request a free temporary summer parking permit that is valid for the T-Theater, G-Athletics, J-Charles River and X-South Residence Parking lots (the online campus map displays these parking lots).

If you need to request a free temporary campus parking permit please fill out the following form and return it to the Summer School Office:
http://www.brandeis.edu/summer/registration/forms/parking.pdf

Students who request a parking permit are asked to pick them up in the Summer School Office on the first day of instruction. Our office will open at 8am on the first day of classes for each session. Please do not wait until you get a parking ticket to pick up your permit. We will not be able to waive your parking ticket.

Parking regulations are in full effect during the summer and cars parked in inappropriate areas (areas without marked spaces, faculty lots, handicap parking spaces, fire lanes, etc.) will be ticketed and towed. A full listing of the Brandeis Parking Regulations can be found at:
http://www.brandeis.edu/publicsafety/parking/regulations.html

BRANDEIS STUDENTS
Brandeis Student permits which are valid during Academic Year '08-'09 continue to be valid through Summer '09 and do not need to be replaced.

Parking available to students is the same during the summer as in the academic year and all parking rules and regulations are in effect throughout the summer. Infraction of parking rules will result in ticketing and charges to your academic year account.
