Incoming Brandeis Students

Four Year Degree Candidates

Students who will matriculate in Fall ’19 or January ‘20

Until you have begun your formal undergraduate career with either a Fall or Spring semester, your summer courses are held in a separate record and as such are not counted in your GPA.

You may request to have these courses transferred to your permanent undergraduate record once you have matriculated.

Summer courses will count toward credit residency requirements in accordance with the options articulated in the University Bulletin.

Summer School courses may be counted toward University and major requirements as long as they meet minimum grade requirements as detailed in the University Bulletin.

Residency

Limits to the total number of Summer School courses a degree candidate may use toward their degree are dictated by residency policies as articulated in the University Bulletin.
Residency is measured in both semesters and courses. As a result, there are different requirements for four-year and transfer degree candidates.
