Online Registration Process

Brandeis Students

There is an additional step to enrolling in summer courses.  Brandeis degree candidates must activate themselves in summer term before they can enroll (see step 2 & 3 below).  If you have difficulty registering, there are detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to register in SAGE below

Visiting Students from other Colleges and Universities

Visiting students must first create a Brandeis student record by completing a form which will be posted for Summer 2017 in April 2017.

This online form will create your Brandeis student record and generate a SAGE User ID and temporary Password. While completing this form, you may experience a slight pause between each field as the system saves your entries.  In some instances, the record you create may be too similar to a current student (i.e. same first name and date of birth) and it will take 24-48 hours to determine if you are a new student or if you already have a Brandeis record.

Once you have your SAGE User ID and Password, follow the SAGE Instructions below.

Financial Commitment

By registering you are making a financial commitment. When you register, you will incur a $50 non-refundable, once per summer, registration fee, which must be paid whether or not you remain enrolled.

You may request a payment extension by emailing If you are granted this extension and fail to make your payment by the new deadline, you will be held liable for all tuition and fees.

You must inform the Summer School office of any changes in your summer plans.

Brandeis Summer Course Enrollment Step 13

14. You will now be taken to the website for Tuition Management Services (TMS).  Through TMS you may:

  • Make a Checking Account Payment (e-Check). TMS will perform a free Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and have money transferred from your U.S. checking or savings account to pay for your summer classes. There is no charge for Electronic Fund Transfers performed online through TMS.  If you call TMS to perform a Electronic Funds Transfer over the phone, they will charge a service fee.
  • Make a Credit Card Payment. You can pay by Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. Please note there is a 2.99% service charge on credit card payments.  This service charge is not collected by Brandeis and is non-refundable. The charge will appear as "TMS Gateway" on your credit card statement.
  • If you have set up a Proxy Account, you can Manage Proxy Accounts. This allows parents or guardians to access your student account to pay tuition and fees.  Please note: SAGE proxies may receive an automatically generated message that contains a different deadline for payment.  This message applies to a Fall Term and Spring Term, not to the Summer Term.  Please advise your proxies about the payment deadline.
  • The TMS monthly payment plan is not available for summer.

If you are new to Brandeis and TMS asks for your Sage ID Number, it is part of the logins you were sent to get into Sage. You were sent a "W1234567" ID to login to Sage. Just replace the "W" with a "2" and you have your Sage ID. In our example the Sage ID Number would be "21234567".

If you have technical problems with TMS Gateway, please call TMS at 1-800-722-4867.

Payments After Registering in SAGE

Registering for classes in SAGE presumes immediate online payment.  If you exit SAGE without paying for classes and would later like to pay your balance online, log back into SAGE. On the SAGE Student Center Welcome Screen, under "Finances" there will be options for paying online.

Be sure to include the name of the student in the memo field of the check. Do not send payments to University Lock Box, as your payment will be delayed.
