    Welcome to Brandeis University

    If you are a...

    Current Brandeis student

You can activate your student record for summer term and enroll in Sage. We also have a helpful guide that will walk you through the enrollment process.

Visiting student from another college or university

Welcome! We are an open-enrollment program and happily accept visiting students!

To ensure that summer classes at Brandeis are right for you, here is some helpful information and links to learn more about the Brandeis Summer School:

First, you'll want to make sure our classes work with your schedule.  This summer, our session dates are:

    • Session I - June 3 to July 5, 2019 (5 weeks)
    • Session II - July 8 to August 9, 2019  (5 weeks)
    • Online Session - June 3 to August 11, 2019  (10 weeks)
Online classes are offered asynchronously, meaning you generally don't have to be in front of your computer or webcam on specific dates and times. Coursework is done online by meeting shared course deadlines for completing the readings, viewing videos, submitting assignments, critiquing peer work, posting original and thoughtful contributions to online discussion forums, and replying to classmates. Next, you will want to view our summer class listings to find the class or classes that are right for you. We offer day, evening and online classes designed to fit a variety of schedules. Our summer courses are taught by Brandeis faculty, graduate students, and visiting professors and offer students the advantage of learning in a small class setting. Most of our classes have less than 10 students enrolled, but there are a few classes that are up to around 50 students.

To help you with transferability of Brandeis credits, we make our course syllabi available here. You can provide this syllabus to your home college or university to make sure the Brandeis credits will transfer back to your school. You can also use this information to gauge the workload associated with each class and better plan out your summer.

You can learn more about the application process for visiting students here.

When you are ready to enroll, you can start your application by creating a Brandeis student record.

We look forward to learning with you this summer!
