A Sample Day
Each morning, students will have space for individual practice in Brandeis’ air-conditioned Slosberg Music Center. The instructor will work privately with each student for about 30 minutes each morning.
Following a communal lunch, there will be master classes, lecture-demonstrations and mini-performances. Classes will focus on appropriate technical and musical problems, relaxation techniques and practice strategies. Lectures will address historical performance-practice issues.
Other activities, such as a guided tour of the musical instrument collection at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, are also planned.
The workshop will culminate in a class concert to which students may invite family and friends to enjoy a selection of music that showcases their progress.
