Call for Entries
Submit your film to the 2009 SunDeis Film Festival!
The submission deadline for SunDeis 2009 is Monday, February 9 for Brandeis students and Monday, February 2 for non-Brandeis students.
Open submissions: No entry fee
All genres welcome including animation, experimental, documentary, foreign Language, music video, fiction, unfilmed screenplays, etc. Please limit run-time to 2.5 hours.
How to Submit Your Film
- Complete the online submission form (one form for each entry).
- If necessary, provide a copy of the written documentation of permission of use for any copyrighted material.
- If your film uses original music, please enclose your sheet music.
- Do not submit your only master, as all entries and accompanying materials received will not be returned and will become property of Brandeis University.
- Send 2 copies of your DVD or VHS and accompanying materials to:

- Submitter must be enrolled at a place of higher education or film specialty school OR have graduated less than one year before the submission deadline. Work completed during the summer or between registered quarters is acceptable.
- SunDeis observes copyright law. Any film that features copyrighted material (i.e. music, images, speech, footage, and/or screenplay) should submit written proof of permission. Films that violate copyright law will be rejected.
- Each filmmaker may submit a maximum of two (2) films.
- Films that have been shown at previous film festivals are eligible for entry.
- All lengths up to 2.5 hours are acceptable.
- We do not have the facilities to accommodate films shot in PAL format.
- Film content will not be censored.
Notification
Filmmakers whose work is selected for exhibition at this year's festival will receive notification in early March. Award nomination notifications will also take place in early March.
