9/11 Remembrance and Community Reflection Event

Dear Members of the Brandeis Community,

This coming Monday marks the sixteenth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. In remembrance of the day, we invite the community to come together and reflect upon the tragic events that will forever be ingrained in our minds. Mindful of the terrible impact of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, as well as other tragedies across the country and around the world, we include as well in our thoughts all of those impacted.

At 3:15 p.m., Monday, September 11th, we will gather on the Great Lawn (in front of the Carl and Ruth Shapiro Campus Center) for remarks by these members of the Brandeis community, followed by a moment of silence and a song by Nia Duncan '20:

Rabbi Liza Stern, Director of Spiritual and Religious Life and Jewish Chaplain

Jacob Edelman '18, Student Union President

Alex Montgomery, Coordinator for the Gender and Sexuality Center

Elias Rosenfeld '20

Cary Weir-Lytle, Associate Director of Employee Relations, Hiatt Career Center

Reverend Matthew Carriker, Protestant Chaplain

We are Brandeis.
