Designed specifically for a university community, Campus Connect training focuses on enhancing faculty and staff members' knowledge, awareness, and skills concerning college student suicide prevention. Beyond increasing one's knowledge about students in a suicidal crisis, emphasis is placed on developing empathic listening skills, communication skills, and the ability to compassionately and directly ask students about their suicidal thoughts.To sign up for a Campus Connect workshop, please go to the following link.

Supporting Students in the Classroom

November 9, 2018 @ 1pm-2:30pm, and November 28, 2018 @ 1pm-2:30pm, BCC Conference Room in the Mailman Building. 

Faculty are invited to join Joy von Steiger, the Director of the BCC, in the conference room at the Brandeis Counseling Center for a drop in consultation meeting to discuss issues of concern about students in your classes. Specific questions/concerns are encouraged.While it is not necessary to sign up in advance for the drop in consultation times, if you wish to please go to the following link.
