Jeanette Lerman is founder and president of J.P. Lerman & Co., a practice devoted to solving strategic marketing and communications problems for corporations and nonprofit organizations. Prior to incorporation, she spent 27 years solving similar problems for Fortune 500 companies.

Prior to founding J.P. Lerman & Co., Lerman was vice president for corporate communications at Time Warner, with responsibility for media relations, corporate advertising, financial communications, internal communications, corporate identity, corporate market research and new-media applications.

Lerman also held a similar position at Unisys Corp., which was created via the merger of Burroughs and Sperry Corporations. She led the merger communications effort, was responsible for the global launch of the new entity as well as the subsequent integrated communications programs.

She came to Burroughs from Merrill Lynch, where she was responsible for creating and programming the first direct broadcast, private television network in the financial-services industry.

Lerman serves on the Philadelphia Museum of Art committee, and the Jewish Museum of New York and the Metropolitan Opera of New York board of directors. 

Lerman began her career as a documentary filmmaker and spent seven years associated with the Canadian National Film Board in Montreal.

She earned a bachelor of arts degree from Brandeis University and a master of arts degree from Stanford University.
