Java SDK on Sam and Diane
The Java SDK on sam, diane, staff & stanley has been changed from the
kaffe.org clean-room implementation to the officially licensed blackdown.org
port of Sun's JDK 1.1.7. All 1.1.7-compatible code should work now.
If you get "command not found" while trying to run javac, it means you've
mucked about with the default PATH. Add /usr/local/java/bin back in.
The JDK is installed for the convenience of a popular introductory CS class,
but is not considered supported software.
