Power Surge -- July 9, 1999
A serious power disruption at 6:33pm on Friday night knocked out most of
Brandeis' central computing resources (not everything is on a UPS, and
batteries last only so long). One of stanley's disks was damaged, but was
repaired by 1:40pm Saturday. Please report any remaining anomalies to
root@brandeis.edu. Due to the nature and impact of the problem, and the
volume of questions, please do your best to help yourself before asking.
