In an effort to improve service, Ethernet cards and cables are being sold by both
the UNet staff (781-529-UNET) and the Campus Bookstore (781-736-4272) at the same price. If you
know what you need (cable and/or card) and want to install it yourself, please go to
the Bookstore. Buying a card from the Bookstore does not preclude you from
receiving free assistance from UNet staff later; you will receive free support no matter
where you buy a recommended card. If you know you need assistance, any
equipment needed will be installed by UNet staff at no extra cost and your telephone bill
will be charged for any equipment you purchase from
ITS.
The Bookstore also carries other computer equipment, including Macintosh and IBM-Compatible PC printer cables, and
software at academic prices, such as Microsoft Office 97 for Windows and Office 98 for MacOS.
