Undergraduate Graduation Forms

The Women’s and Gender Studies Program hosts its own commencement ceremony for our graduating seniors every year. This event is an opportunity for us to recognize your accomplishments, award prizes, and personally bid you farewell. We encourage you to invite your family and friends to attend this meaningful event. This year the WGS Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony will take place on Friday, May 16, 2008 from 2:00-4:00 pm; please mark your calendars!

In preparation for receiving your degree in May 2008, you will need to complete the following forms and return them to the Women’s and Gender Studies Program, Attn. Katie Dalton, MS 082 or Rabb 105 by the following dates. If you are graduating in February, please contact the program office for the required forms and due dates.

  • Forms 1 and 2: Friday, April 4, 2008
  • For all majors and minors submitting a paper, the Senior Paper and form 3: Friday, May 2, 2008

1) WGS Undergraduate Commencement form: This is a sign-up form to attend the WGS Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 16, 2008. DUE DATE: April 4, 2008

2) Class of 2008 WGS Yearbook form and Digital Photo: This form is used to collect information for our annual Women’s and Gender Studies Program yearbook. In the yearbook, each student (majors, minors, and graduate students) will have a page which highlights their paper, activities/honors, etc. and includes their picture. DUE DATE: April 4, 2008

3) Senior Paper Approval Form: (Please read the Senior Paper Requirements carefully as they have changed.)
This form is for all majors to fill out and any minors who are submitting a senior paper. Minors are not required to submit a paper, but may do so to be eligible for the Giller-Sagan Prize. With this form, you must also submit the final copy of your senior paper if you would like to be considered for the Giller-Sagan Prize. Outstanding submissions will also be published in our online undergraduate research journal. DUE DATE: May 2, 2008
