Useful Links
Along with giving background information on the Davis Foundation, the links below supply information on initiatives to train students to write in multiple disciplines at institutions across the country.
The Davis Educational Foundation has generously funded Brandeis University's project to create a consistent culture of writing. The Foundation is known for its support for teaching and education at colleges and universities throughout New England.
The Writing across the Curriculum (WAC) Clearinghouse at Colorado State University is a hub of information and a library of links to studies, programs and individuals invested in teaching different forms across a student's time in university and across departmental lines.
With handouts, exercises and clear information, the Online Writing Lab (OWL) at Purdue is an extensive resource for writers and teachers of writers. The site has a write up of the terms often used in projects to standardize writing across universities or colleges, and offers information on structure, argumentation, citation, grammar and the like. OWL offers guidelines on Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) and Writing in the Disciplines (WID).
