Fall 2008
- Professor Dawn Skorczewski meets with first group of Faculty fellows
- Faculty Fellows review 45 upper-level writing samples, create rubric for teaching/evaluating writing, create student handouts, create model writing assignments for faulty and other teaching tools
Spring 2009
- Skorczewski, Faculty Fellows, and Head Teaching Fellow conduct training sessions for first group of Teaching Fellows
- First group of Faculty Fellows teach writing-intensive course to six classes using new standards and new assignments, each assisted by one Teaching Fellow
- Joint meetings for Faculty Fellows and Teaching Fellows
- Questionnaires administered for Fellows and pilot program students
- Skorczewski and Head Teaching Fellow observe Faculty Fellows’ classes and Teaching Fellows’ student workshops
- Papers from Faculty Fellows’ classes and control group uploaded to e-portfolio system and evaluated at end of the semester by Faculty Fellows and Teaching Fellows
Fall 2009
- Second group of six Faculty Fellows and six Teaching Fellows recruited
- First group of Faculty Fellows trains second group of Faculty Fellows during a series of workshops. Both groups fill out evaluations
- First group of Teaching Fellows and Head Teaching Fellow train second group of Teaching Fellows
Spring 2010
- Skorczewski, Faculty Fellows, and Head Teaching Fellow conduct training session for second group of Teaching Fellows
