Ellen Beth Lande
Ellen Beth Lande ‘73 is a published author, inventor and entrepreneur. A former vice president of marketing at Impressions Software (strategy game publisher) and at MediaCom, Inc. (telecommunications), she was founder and president of The Great Kid Company (juvenile products manufacturer) and founder and publisher of Lansdowne Press. Ellen Beth has also worked as a brand manager at Sierra-on-Line (software publishing) and a marketing director at Mass-Save Inc. (energy conservation). In sum, Ellen Beth has worked in sales, marketing, PR, advertising and communications for 30 years.
Ms. Lande holds a Master’s degree in International Business from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, and a BA in History from Brandeis University. She is currently a principle in Allegro Marketing & Communications and an adjunct faculty member at Bunker Hill Community College where she teaches English and cross-cultural studies.
With a lifelong interest in the performing arts, Ellen Beth has taught and choreographed dance (ballet, African dance, world dance) at Boston area venues. A native of Montreal, Canada, Ellen Beth has lived in the Boston area for over 30 years, where she has been active in the Brandeis Alumni association and the Alumni Travel program. She is married to Detlev Suderow, Brandeis ‘70 and they are the proud parents of sons Sasha ‘05 and Max - (who managed to escape the Brandeis tradition!).
