HBI ARTIST PROGRAM

HBI ARTIST PROGRAM

The 2018 HBI Artist Program provides an artist the opportunity to have a solo exhibition for twelve weeks at the Women’s Studies Research Center at Brandeis University. We invite proposals that relate to the Hadassah Brandeis Institute’s mission of developing fresh ideas about Jews and gender.

The exhibition will be open March – June 2018.

Program structure

The exhibition will be installed in the Kniznick Gallery at the Women’s Studies Research Center.

The HBI will provide an exhibition budget up to $2,500 to help support the costs of transporting artwork, travel, lodging, and installation supplies.

As the exhibit organizer, the HBI will manage marketing and promotion of the show and related events including an exhibition postcard.

The artist will give a gallery talk, as well as lead a workshop/public program during the Leonard Bernstein Festival of the Creative Arts (April 15-21, 2018).

The artist will also assist the Kniznick Gallery Curator in the development of all accompanying exhibition materials.
