Amy Harris is the Program Manager for the Gen One Network. As a FLI undergrad and QuestBridge Scholar at Stanford University, Amy majored in International Relations and minored in Education. After graduation, Amy lead summer study abroad experiences to South Africa and Spain with The Experiment in International Living; advocated for and with youth confronting discrimination and low achievement as a Jesuit Volunteer at Advocates for Children of New York; and worked as a public service career advisor and managed student leadership programs for the Catholic Community at Stanford and the Haas Center for Public Service.
Amy's passion for advancing educational equity led her to Boston College where, as a FLI grad student, she studied Higher Education Administration. During her time at Boston College, Amy served as a graduate assistant in the Office of Residential Life and assisted with research on the experiences of Latinx students in law school. Upon graduating from her master's program, Amy started working at Brandeis in October of 2020. In addition to Gen One, Amy also manages the BUGS peer tutoring and the Faculty Ambassador programs.
When she’s not working, Amy can typically be found taking class, rehearsing, or performing with a few Boston salsa, bachata, and modern dance companies. Amy can't wait to meet you at a future Gen One event!
