Welcome to the San Dieguito Chapter of the Brandeis National Committee!
We are a lively group of lifelong learners in coastal North County San Diego. Since we merged with the San Diego chapter, our members come from Coronado to Oceanside. We offer our members a variety of social and educational opportunities in the form of study and social groups, special events and luncheons. All of our programming is designed to entertain, inform, provoke conversation, and encourage friendships.
Through BNC, the San Dieguito chapter proudly provides support to Brandeis University, a small liberal arts and research university in Massachusetts. Though very few of our members are Brandeis alumni or family of alumni, most members have no direct affiliation with the school. We support Brandeis because our members espouse Brandeis values: academic excellence, social justice, and intellectualism. The financial support that we provide all goes towards the Brandeis libraries, student scholarships and scientific research.
Our study and social groups provide our members a space to gather with friends or meet new people while learning about a common interest. We understand everyone's interests are different, so BNC San Dieguito offers study groups across a wide range of topics.
BNC San Dieguito publishes a bulletin every other month which our members and prospective members will receive by email. These bulletins contain important contact information, dates, invitations and chapter news.
Our board meetings are open to all. We gather every fourth Monday of the month at Seacrest Village, Saxony Lane, Encinitas. For now it is via Zoom, but we look forward to in-person meetings and afterwards, staying for an informal lunch at Mel's Place. Feel free to drop by to get to know the chapter.
We look forward to seeing new and returning members at our events this year and spending another year learning and playing together!
