Jarret Bencks

Jarret BencksNews and Communications Specialist

Jarret helps to find the most interesting stories at Brandeis, then figures out the best ways to tell them. He comes from a background in print and digital news, where his work as a journalist was recognized with awards. (One of his stories even served as source material for a book written by a Nobel Prize winner.)

He graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2008 with a bachelor’s in English and journalism. He has worked as a staff writer at The Eagle-Tribune newspaper, an editor for Patch Media and a correspondent for The Boston Globe. He joined the Brandeis communications team in July 2014.

Outside work, Jarret likes playing pickup basketball and traveling to places near and far.
