Upon completing Outlier’s Computer Science 1 course, students will enroll in Google’s IT Automation with Python Professional Certificate Certificate, which can take up to 6 months to complete. Lab Leaders will also assist in the operations of hackathons throughout the semester, where students will spend the morning and afternoon working on a larger-scale programming project. Lab Leaders will be primarily responsible for leading, advising, supporting, and supervising a pod of up to 10 students over the course of the semester. Our goal is to have 100% of our students earn their certificate, as well as get a head start to building a career in Boston’s innovation economy.
