Unlike typical spring semesters, there will be no week-long break in February, and for the first time in Brandeis’ history, our community will celebrate the Passover holiday on campus.
There will be no classes on March 9, March 29, April 2 and April 20.
The remainder of the spring semester calendar is unchanged at this time, including the last day of classes on May 5. Please review the Academic Calendar for any questions about dates for the spring semester.
As in the fall, the spring semester will follow a mixed teaching format, allowing for in-person, hybrid and fully remote classes, and our health and safety requirements will be similar to the fall semester.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, Brandeis' Commencement ceremony will be held virtually, with both live and prerecorded portions, on Sunday, May 23, 2021. In addition to this unified ceremony, there may be other virtual events and ceremonies in the days leading up to Commencement.
For more information about this decision, please read the letter from Brandeis University President Ron Liebowitz.
