Profile

Hi folx! My name is Montana Epps (she/her) and I'm originally from San Diego, California, not Montana, unfortunately. Though, I did visit for the first time this past summer! The majority of my educational career was spent in Los Angeles, attending UCLA. While I was there, I earned my bachelor's degree in History and got my start in student affairs working in the International Education Office, supporting students studying abroad. After my time at UCLA, I moved on up to the Central Coast and earned my master's degree in Higher Education Counseling and Student Affairs at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. During this time I had the opportunity to develop a Transfer Center on campus and work closely with the Orientation team to establish a transfer orientation experience, including extensive transfer inclusivity training for our student leaders, staff and faculty. My professional interests include: international education, advancing inclusivity, transfer student support, and helping students develop community in all aspects of their college experience. When I am not working, I enjoy exploring new places, painting landscapes, consuming a copious amount of coffee, and snuggling with my cat, Finn! I'm looking forward to meeting you all very soon.
