Profile

Hi everyone!  My name is Zari Havercome and I am the new Assistant Area Coordinator in North Quad. I am an incoming graduate student, from Brooklyn, NYC, studying in Heller's Social Impact MBA/ MA in Sustainable International Development dual degree program. I am an alumni of Brandeis as well, class of 2016! Since graduating I was an educator in Haiti, Brooklyn, and most recently I completed my 27-month service as a youth development specialist in Peace Corps Thailand. My goal is to support youth in stepping into their power and to feel confident and limitless in their dreams for the future. I love extreme sports/activities, all things food, baths, and learning about any and everything. My curiosity is so strong and I've been nicknamed Google, since I am always looking for answers. If you have something to teach, I am all ears because I enjoy listening to/watching people interact with their passions.Quotes that I live by are: "You are the sun" by Christina Yang in Grey's Anatomy, "I am enough. I have enough time" by Karamo Brown, "Service is the rent that we pay for the privilege of living on this earth" by Shirley Chisolm, and "I am willing to bend, but I refuse to break" by me. I am very excited to join the team and I look forward to getting to know you all better.
