Students enrolled in the 9- and 10-week summer JBS programs are eligible for on-campus housing. Students enrolled in JBS programs will be housed in Skyline. If you are interested in living in the Foster Mods, please contact Community Living before the application deadline. All enrolled JBS students assigned to housing in Skyline are required to have a summer meal plan. Students requesting to live in Foster Mods will NOT be required to have a summer meal plan.
Students must meet the following requirements in order to receive on-campus housing as a JBS Student:
- Must be enrolled in an on-campus or Boston area JBS program. Students do not have to be enrolled prior to requesting housing, but must be enrolled prior to moving into housing.
- Students who withdraw from the JBS program during the summer will have 48 hours to vacate their housing assignment.
Summer Housing Rates
Housing rates for the JBS program are flat rates depending on the length of the program. All JBS summer program students are assigned to room in Skyline as a default unless Foster Mods is requested.
Housing Cost: $275 per week
Summer Housing Process
Obtaining summer housing is a fairly simple process. Below are the steps that students, faculty, and staff must take in order for students to receive summer housing.
Step 1: Apply
Complete the JBS Summer Housing Application. Forms must be submitted by May 9, 2022 for priority consideration. Applications received after May 9th will be housed in the order they are received.
Step 2: Transitional Housing, Part I
If you wish to live on-campus between the end of final exams and the beginning of the summer, you must complete the Transitional Housing Request form. Transitional Housing costs a flat rate of $300. Your student account will be billed directly for transitional housing. See the Transitional Housing page for more information.
Step 3: Move-In
Students will be notified of their summer residence by May 23, 2022. Keys for summer housing will be available for pick up on June 5, 2022 from the Community Living in Usdan. Students who are residing on campus for Transitional Housing (part I) will be expected to move into their summer housing early.
Step 4: Transitional Housing, Part II
Students who wish to stay on campus for the period between the end of summer school and beginning of the fall semester may request Summer-to-Fall Transitional Housing. Summer-to-Fall Transitional Housing is only available for students enrolled in 10-week programs. If you did not request Summer-to-Fall Transitional Housing originally, a new Transitional Housing Request must be completed. The cost of Transitional Housing for this period is $300. See the Transitional Housing page for more information.
