NEJS Policy on Learning Disabilities

Students with learning disabilities that are documented as presenting difficulties in learning Hebrew may major in NEJS by:

  1. Completing a Hebrew 40 course. This course, and all other Hebrew language courses may be taken on a credit/non-credit basis, and must be passed.

  2. Completing a course taught in English on classical Hebrew texts.

  3. Completing a course taught in English on modern Hebrew literary texts.

These courses (two and three) may not count toward any other departmental requirement.
