In this on-line workshop, Dr. Qianqian Zhang-Wu makes a compelling case to understand and support multilingual international students beyond the monolithic misconceptions of working with “English language learners.” Drawing upon findings of her recent book Languaging Myths and Realities: Journeys of Chinese International Students (Multilingual Matters, 2021), Dr. Zhang-Wu explains how international students use their rich multilingual and multi-modal communicative repertories to facilitate languaging across contexts.
