Expertise

Greek and Latin language and literature, with special interest in Greek epic, lyric, and tragic poetry, the historical study of Ancient Greek language, and the comparative study of mythology and religion.

Muellner's research and teaching is based on a synthesis of the disciplines of classical philology, Indo-European historical linguistics, and anthropological approaches to the study of Ancient Greek cultural phenomena.
