The intersection between clinical psychology, depression, gender, development, emotion regulation. Specifically: gender and developmental differences in and risks for depression; Risk, resiliency and depression prevention; emotion regulation, self-focused attention, rumination and reflection; mindfulness, coping, and development; psychosomatic obstetrics and gynecology and affective disorders (i.e., postpartum depression and Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder)Profile
Professor Wright is currently working on predictors of different forms of emotion regulation and self-focused attention, particularly rumination, reflection, and mindfulness, and in distraction, and how those forms of emotion regulation are related to depression and anxiety and responses to trauma.
