Zachary Albert is an assistant professor in Politics at Brandeis University. He received his PhD in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and his BA from Fairfield University.Professor Albert's research and teaching focus on political campaigns and public policymaking, especially through the lens of political parties and in an era of increased partisan polarization. He is currently working on two book projects: the first examines the impact of partisan polarization on policy research efforts by interest groups and think tanks, while the second investigates the positive and negative aspects of "small donor democracy". His work has been published in journals such as American Politics Research, Political Research Quarterly, Party Politics, and Interest Groups & Advocacy.
