I work and teach on the long history of media cultures and media newness, with a special interest in feminist engagements with populist media forms. I have alternated between the academy and the workplace: I gained my B.A. from Oxford University and spent some time as a political consultant before receiving my M.Phil from the University of Cambridge. I then worked as a literary agent in London before moving to Yale University for my Ph.D. In addition to teaching, I also take a keen interest in student development and professionalisation.Courses Taught
